Update:
Mr. CC and I donated to MSF Canada and I received an update by email.
As you read this, MSF medical teams in Port-au-Prince are treating thousands of people who were injured in the quake. Most have fractures, head injuries and other major trauma injuries. We have set up four tented facilities beside the now damaged hospitals we used to work in. The need for wound treatment and major surgery is immense.
Currently, an MSF field hospital is arriving by air, equipped with two operating theatres, along with trauma surgeons and anesthetists. Our teams on the ground in the capital are also trying to identify intact buildings that could be used to do surgery.
Food, water and shelter materials are all in short supply, but medical stocks are not yet exhausted. Forty tonnes of material will arrive on the ground tonight, conditions permitting, and an additional 80 staff will join the more than 800 MSF staff already working in Haiti. Teams will be distributing medical disaster kits, blankets, plastic sheeting, hygiene and cooking sets, tents and jerrycans.
You can continue to help by forwarding this message or sharing it with your networks on Facebook and Twitter.
Thank you for your solidarity at this most difficult time.

Thanks for the links... it's awesome that you're helping in your own way, and I wish that we could give to every one of those charities! :o( Hopefully everyone will give a little bit.
CC, thanks for the info. It's devastating that this happened to people who were already struggling with so more than we could even imagine. My heart goes out to them & I promise to donate.
I forgot to send my donation receipt to ms. kathy and i definitely wanted to do that - thanks for the reminder!

i think we keep saying "damn one have to stop forgetting to add CC/tstfm to our blogroll" and then we see something shiny and forget again. uh and i think we have the twidoms lengthiest lists (i am not sure what this says about us, really - but probably just means that we're waaay more obsessed than we should be - lol... anyhoo, gonna go do it NOW.
